I'm a living example of this online gaming addiction. I am now divorced because my ex-wife met someone on World of Warcraft and the rest is history. For two years I was basically ignored as she was playing this game 20 out of 24 hours a day. I'd come home from work and she'd still be in her pajamas glued to the computer with earphones on. Little did I know that she was actually seeing someone she met on the game. I found out all this after we separated three days after Christmas and the rest is history.

My original intent to show my ex how to play WoW was so we could play the game together and enjoy our time. Little did I know that it would be a vehicle for the destruction of my marriage. Let me clarify that I blame my ex for the divorce and not WoW, because WoW is just a computer game, but it was her addiction to it that was a means to an end by destroying my marriage and impacting my son. Let me close by saying that I love to play WoW, but everything in life must be in moderation. Like the article said, if you are playing this game 10+ hours a day, then you have problems and need help! Nuff' said. Take care and good luck to you.
