A brush fire is now under control near Interstate 35 Eariir today fire officials shut down traffic from University Drive to the I-35 east and west split. The fire was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Hay bells that caught on fire started the fire, said officer Brian Horn of the Denton Police Department. (3) comments
Though Interstate-35 and Highway 380 have been closed because of grass fires, NT will not be shutting down. "The campus does remain open," said Kelley Reese, university spokesperson. Supporters and party members came together to talk politics Saturday at the Denton County Democratic Party's Annual Chili Supper fundraiser and candidate's forum.
