    I was a cross-country runner all four years of high school and was on varsity for three of them. I did not join every club so I could put it on my college application, nor did I really have a huge social life. I was a runner and proud of it. That came to an end when I enrolled here at NT, and for two years I went to class and did absolutely nothing. (0) comments

    NT goes 'green' with new building to set the stage for future

    Along with NT being known for its green spirit, new buildings on campus are keeping up with the "green" trend. The new Life Sciences Building is set to be certified "green," according to Raynard O. Kearbey, associate vice chancellor for system facilities. (1) comment

    Local bands are joining forces with Model International Organization to benefit the Dallas Center for Survivors of Torture. Matthew and the Arrogant Sea, Febrifuge, Verulf and The Heartstring Stranglers, will perform from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Strawberry Fields on the corner of West Oak Street and S. (0) comments

    Around 100 NT students were sent letters from the Student Health and Wellness center this week suggesting they be tested for Tuberculosis. These students were cited as having a legitimate risk of contact with an individual on campus who was diagnosed with Tuberculosis earlier this semester. (1) comment

    Fry Street bars Riprocks, Cool Beans and Lucky Lou's will host the 12th annual Mudbug Boil on May 3. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot behind Riprocks and Lucky Lou's on Hickory Street. Activities at the Mudbug Boil include all-you-can-eat crawfish, live bands and a competitive gumbo cook-off. (0) comments

    NT alumnus Adam Wright has taken the motto "Think and grow rich" to heart and used his abounding energy and motivation to accomplish many career goals since graduating in December 2006. The former Sigma Phi Epsilon president studied business and film while at NT and received his MBA in business. (1) comment

    NT athletics director Rick Villarreal gave students a tour of Fouts Field Tuesday. During the tour, he pointed out the poor state of the stadium and the football program. KNTU's Joe Carter has more.
