“The World’s End”
Directed by Edgar Wright
Starring: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Martin Freeman
Rating: 4/5
By Preston Barta/Film Critic
Writer-director Edgar Wright brings us his final installment of the Cornetto trilogy with his most outlandish comedy to date. “The World’s End” is an action packed, sci-fi comedy where a group of friends return to their hometown to help their kooky friend, Gary King (a hilarious Simon Pegg), achieve his lifelong dream of completing their epic pub-crawl from 20 years earlier. If you favored Wright’s other comedies such as 2004’s cult hit “Shaun of the Dead” and 2007’s “Hot Fuzz” then you’ll get quite a few laughs out of this well-executed thrill ride.
“The World’s End” opens tonight at 10 p.m.
