Basketball No. 15 in Mid-Major Poll

Another national poll recognized the UNT men’s basketball team yesterday when this season’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll ranked it at No. 15.
It is the highest ranking in the poll in UNT history, as the team notched a rank of 17 last year and in 2006.
The voting for the poll is done by 31 coaches of mid major teams around the country, including Middle Tennessee coach Kermit Davis.
Sun Belt foe Western Kentucky was ranked at No. 17 in the poll, while other Sun Belt members Denver, South Alabama, Middle Tennessee, Florida Atlantic, Arkansas-Little Rock and Arkansas State received votes.
The Mean Green starts its season when it hosts an exhibition game against Henderson State on November 12th at noon.
