The Black Excellence Gala has been postponed until further notice.
The Black Student Union and Black Student Interest Network planned to host the gala on Friday as a way to end Black History Month and showcase the achievements and inspirational work of alumni, students and faculty.
Iesha Daboya, BSU’s director of alumni outreach, said that in addition to celebrating alumni with awards, the event will use ticket money to fund scholarships for qualifying students. There will also be a silent auction. The scholarships will be given at the Spring Ball in April.
When the new date is posted, we’ll let you know.
