Car crash at McKinney and Woodrow

There was a car crash Wednesday night at the intersection of McKinney Drive and Woodrow Lane.

Witness Jason Scott said the collision occurred between a Pontiac GT Grand Am and a pickup truck. Police were in pursuit of the GT when the driver ran the red light on McKinney Street and was struck by the truck on its driver’s side.

Scott said the driver was pried out of the GT and loaded into an ambulance on a gurney. A CareFlite helicopter was sent out, but was not needed.
