Paintball: The UNT paintball team came in first place last Saturday in an all-day event in the Mean Green Open. The team played at Adventure Park in Roanoke, Texas. The UNT team defeated the University of Texas, University of Houston, University of Texas at Dallas and Texas A&M University. UNT defeated the No. 1 team in the nation, Texas A&M, but still trails in overall points to take the No. 1 spot nationally.

Triathlon: The triathlon team competed in its last meet this season at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth in an all-day event on Nov. 11. The men’s and women’s team ran a duathlon. First, the participants ran two miles, then biked 15 miles and finished with a two-mile run. The only other school that participated was Texas A&M. UNT pre-biology junior Andrew Ashworth finished second overall. Ashworth competed well enough to get invited to Nationals, an event that will take place in Arizona in October of 2013.
