Recipe from Two Tiny Kitchens

Peanut butter and chocolate is always a favorite combination, but add salty and sweet to that for a perfect treat. These crunchy and creamy snacks are so easy that any student can make them from the comfort of their dorm and are sure to leave their roommates asking for more.

1 cup peanut butter
2 tbsp. softened butter
2/3 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter and softened butter together until smooth and creamy. Beat in the powdered sugar, light brown sugar. You may need to add more to get the filling thick enough to form dough.

Roll teaspoons of the peanut butter mixture between your palms to form balls. Sandwich the mixture between two pretzels and place on a plate or cookie sheet. Freeze the pretzel sandwiches for half an hour.

Melt the chocolate chips, using the microwave (30 second intervals). Dip half of each pretzel sandwich in chocolate. Return the tray to the freezer and chill until the chocolate sets. Store the Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites in the refrigerator until serving time.

All the ingredients are inexpensive and easy to find at a local grocery store. Use Nutella instead of peanut butter for a fun and delicious twist on this simple snack. For this and other delicious recipes on a college budget check out
