During an interview after his arrest, Thompson is said to have “provided significant details to his involvement in three previous burglaries where he intended to commit sexual assaults,” according to a press release.

Those two offenses occurred in February and May of this year.

Thompson has been a person of interest to Denton Police since May, and was observed during surveillance attempting to enter an apartment in the 400 block of Withers Street, according to a press release. Police then contacted a potential victim and obtained arrest warrants.

In addition to the two charges he was booked on, Thompson also faces three other burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony charges. According to police, these offenses occurred at the 2200 block of W. Oak St. in February, the 1600 block of W. Oak St. in May and the 1700 block of W. Hickory St. in May.
