So we’ve all had long drawn out conversations with our friends discussing where and what eat. Sometimes the answer is not easily attained and you just have to go to a place where everyone can be mildly satisfied.

That’s what Michael’s Kitchen gives Dentonites. The diner located at 706 Fort Worth Dr. acts as a “jack of all trades” or a “master of nothing,” when it comes to food, offering everything from breakfast, traditional classics like cheeseburgers and Greek food.

Only one problem—when a restaurant offers up this many options, the likelihood of it delivering great food takes a hit. This kitchen is no exception and delivers mediocre meals that leave much to be desired.

Take the chicken fried steak breakfast for example, which is about $10 and comes with two nice sized pieces of chicken, two eggs, toast and hash browns. The food looks delicious but definitely has an abundance of grease, oozing at every bite.

The Greek portion of the menu also struggles to find great flavor, like in the shish tawook sandwich with fries for about $7. The chicken in the sandwich has a sweet taste but grows boring halfway through the meal.

Even though the food isn’t great, Michael’s Kitchen features a variety of items and can solve any craving if you’re willing to sacrifice a little bit of quality. Almost all of the items on the menu are under $10 and they are sure to fill most college students up.

Atmosphere wise, the diner is what it is, but the staff does a great job keeping the place squeaky clean.

Service isn’t lacking either, the food comes out quick and your beverages get constant check-ups.

Overall, the food isn’t terrible—it just isn’t a game changer. If you want great breakfast, Greek food or burgers, Michael’s Kitchen doesn’t live up, but if you’re with a group or have multiple wants—it’s not a bad stop.
