Men’s basketball snaps three game losing streak

The Mean Green men’s basketball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 78-65 win over Langston University at home Wednesday.
The game was close in the early going and Langston had a lead towards the middle of the first half. But, North Texas ended the first half on a 19-6 run to take a 34-23 lead into the break.
The Mean Green kept up that same momentum in the second half, as the team shot 55.6 percent from the field in the the final 20 minutes and scored 44 points to seal the win.
Freshman forward Jeremy Combs poured in a team-high 25 points, while senior guard Jordan Williams had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Senior forward Colin Voss also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mean Green will play at home again on Sunday when Creighton University visits Denton. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. and the game can be viewed on Fox Sports Southwest.
