A protester is seen with his hands raised in the air. A collective gesture for most protesters was to put their hands in the air as if they were signaling their surrender.
Handmade signs express the feelings of the protesters. They read: “Who do you protect, who do you serve,” and “Stop killing our sons.” Chants of “Hands up, Dont’ Shoot, Police Brutality,” could also be heard from the crowd.
