For those late nights when there isn’t much to do except invite friends over, we now have the Cards Against Humanity Denton Loves Profanity Expansion Pack (a Parody), handmade and for sale on Etsy.

The popular card game is a favored R-rated drinking activity for college students. On each player’s turn, they draw a prompt card, which asks the other players to fill in the blank or answer a question. The goal is to come up with the most lewd or disturbing combinations.

This expansion pack brings Denton’s culture into the deck.

“These are hand cut and laminated,” reads the product description posted by “Sunny Librarian.”  “Will they fit perfectly within your [Cards Against Humanity] set? NO! But they will be fun to play, and they are a total pain in the ass to cut, and once you have a few of those Lone Stars or PBRs or whatever the hell you kids are drinking these days, you won’t even notice the difference.

According to the Etsy profile:

This pack includes over 70 white cards and 20 black cards that involve your favorite places and people from around Denton, some of them are no longer around. Get this quick before more of these classics go extinct! #RIPRUBBERGLOVES #RIPOLDDIRTYBASEMENT.”

These hashtags pay homage to recently closed music venues around town. Places like the Old, Dirty Basement underneath J&J’s Pizza and the Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio were safe havens for artists playing in Denton.

Now that they’re gone, we can all remember them between hands of “Keep Denton _ _ _ _ _” and “Denton: Home of _ _ _ _ _.” Other cards in the deck include answers such as, “Beards,” “Jason Lee,” “That racist statue on the square” and “Fishboy.”

The website values the expansion pack at $10.00

Also, “for an extra $5, I [the card maker] will write ‘not porn’ on the outside of your package so no one will get suspicious.”
