This week’s police blotter: Male student “exposes himself” at Willis Library

Monday, April 1, 4:43 a.m.: UNT police officers filed a report after being contacted by staff members in Willis Library. A male suspect reportedly “exposed himself” and then left the area.

Tuesday, April 2, 3:09 p.m.: A student was issued a citation by a UNT police officer for illegally using a handicapped placard. The placard was also taken from the student. In separate incidents on April 3, 4 and 5, placards were taken from different subjects.

Wednesday, April 3, 2:05 p.m.: At an initiated traffic stop, UNT police officers arrested a 21-year-old student who was wanted by the Denton Police Department. He was taken to the Denton County jail.

Friday, April 5, 1:45 a.m.: A complaint was reported from Kerr Hall regarding the mental health of one of the residents. A UNT police officer responded and the subject was put in contact with counseling services.

2:08 a.m.: One 26-year-old UNT student and a 24-year-old non-student were both intoxicated when they crashed on North Texas Boulevard. Both were arrested and taken to the Denton County jail.

Sunday, April 7, 2:36 a.m.: While driving on S. Welch Street, a UNT police officer was flagged down by a victim of bodily assault. The subject refused on-scene medical treatment and a report was filed. Police are investigating the incident.
