Police Blotter

Thursday Jan. 10, 12:58 a.m.: Two male students, ages 18 and 19, were arrested by a UNT police officer on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The arrested students were sent to Denton County Jail.

Saturday, Jan. 12, 9:24 a.m.: A 23-year-old man wanted on a UNT police department issued warrant was arrested and sent to the Denton County Jail.

Monday Jan. 13, 8:12 p.m.: The Denton Police Department requested the UNT Police Department K9 assistance in regards to a burglary in progress. The department’s K9 unit responded to the call and assisted the Denton Police Department.

Tuesday Jan. 15, 10:18 a.m.: A 34-year-old student was arrested by a UNT police officer on charges of failure to carry a driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, expired motor vehicle registration and expired motor vehicle inspection. He was arrested and transported to the Denton County Jail.

10:34 p.m.:  A complaint was reported about a suspected trespasser at UNT’s Willis Library. The police department responded to a 31-year-old man who was previously issued a criminal trespassing warning. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Wednesday Jan. 16, 2.18 p.m.: A medical emergency was reported at the Business Leadership Building. A UNT police officer and Denton Emergency Management Services responded to the call and transported the patient for immediate medical treatment.

10:19 p.m.: Staff at Kerr Hall, Denton requested a UNT police officer to standby during the administrative search of contraband. A UNT police officer responded to the staff call and reported the case.
