Senior Rodolfo Cazaubon has been making UNT and Denton headlines since he was a freshman, but his most recent accomplishment was his last in UNT history. As a senior, Cazaubon participated in the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship and finished in a tie for 32nd place shooting an even-par 70 to finish the tournament.
Out of the 156 golfers from schools all across the nation, only 37 finished even-par or better, and he was one of them. Overall he finished even-par with a score of 210 at the Capital City Club Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga. While his season as a Mean Green Eagle has come to an end, head coach Brad Stracke sees him playing in the PGA tour in the future and watching him golf on Sundays.
Throughout his career Cazaubon, who could be not be reached, has left a mark on the UNT golf program, having won three individual titles this past season and was named all-conference all four years at UNT. This is also the third year that Cazaubon has helped UNT get into the NCAA tournament along with two back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Championships. Cazaubon leaves UNT, but for those following in his footsteps, he has set the standard high.
