Who won Denton County Clerk, treasurer and county commissioners for precincts 2 and 4

County Clerk – Juli Luke (R, incumbent) vs. Amy Manuel (D)
Juli Luke (R) was re-elected as County Clerk with about 58 percent of the votes. Amy Manuel (D) fell short with 42 percent of the votes.
“I want to bring accountability and transparency back to the office,” she told the Denton Record-Chronicle. The county clerk is responsible for preserving property records and specific court records.
Treasurer – Cindy Yeatts Brown (R, incumbent) vs. Andy Boler (L)
Cindy Yeatts Brown (R) won with about 78 percent of the votes while Andy Boler (L) had about 22 percent of the votes. Brown has been the Denton County Treasurer since 1999. The county treasurer acts as a banker for the county.
County Commissioner precinct 2 – Ron Marchant (R) vs. Brandy Jones (D) vs. James Felber (L)
Incumbent Ron Marchant (R) edged out Brandy Jones (D) 48.83 percent to 48.22 percent. Felber has only received about 2.9 percent of the votes while Marchant and Brown nearly split the remaining 96 percent.
Jones “[supports] tax reform and Veteran’s assistance while also working to increase employment and advocate for affordable health care coverage for everyone,” according to her website. Each county commissioner is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure of their precinct.
County Commissioner precinct 4 – Dianne Edmondson (R) vs. Bryan C. Webb (D)
Dianne Edmondson (R) will replace Andy Eads as County Commissioner for Precinct 4. Edmondson won about 62 percent of the votes while Bryan C. Webb had 38 percent.
Edmondson, according to her website, “will work tirelessly with the citizen of Precinct 4 to find the best solutions to the challenges our rapid growth brings.” Each county commissioner is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure of their precinct.
